21% said a messy living situation was their main reason for dating, while another 21% revealed that poor manners were their biggest pet peeve. It makes sense – who wants to be in a relationship with someone rude or sloppy? Another two agreed that flirting with bad manners is generally their biggest pet peeve, followed by 20% of daters who said flirting with dirty fingernails was their biggest pet peeve. And number one? Bad smell received the most votes, with 24% of daters saying their biggest turn-off was their cheating partner smelling bad. (And we don’t blame them because it’s awful!)
So the big question is: is rude behavior, a dirty apartment, or a foul smelling enough of a reason to call off a marriage? Our research says yes.
