Sexual love is fun to watch, but sometimes it’s not what you expected. Perhaps you’re hoping to see a sexy woman with bright red hair and a slim body, but a busty brunette appears instead. That’s why erotic novels are becoming increasingly popular: we can imagine the people in the stories exactly how we want them to be. The problem is that not all sexual love stories are good. Some of them are so bad that they will make you question everything you know about good and nasty sex. You will learn a whole new way to describe sex that will make you cringe.

What is the Bad Erotica Award?
The magazine created an award for writers who include erotic love scenes in their novels. However, the prize was different from many others. Instead of celebrating great scenes, it highlighted examples of erotica that were not portrayed well.
The magazine said it was explicitly aimed at those who “produced deplorable scenes of sexuality in otherwise excellent novels.”
For many of us, it started simply as a joke, something to amuse us in our time of need. But the price has become more critical. Many people hope to win this award or be mentioned. After all, we are all a little curious about how poorly erotic love is portrayed in novels.
If you spend a lot of time reading erotic stories, you know what to expect from an excellent sexual love scene. You also know what doesn’t work. So what did the 2024 nominees write?

The finalists for this year’s awards wrote some interesting sexual love scenes… and I use the word “interesting” in the broadest sense here. They contain unusual dirty jokes and bizarre depictions. Some don’t read like sexual love stories at all but like something else entirely.
An excellent example of bad, dirty talk is in this scene, where not only does his character make “gurgling noises” before doing the deed, but his lover also tells him, “Come on, boy!” I don’t know about you, but adding the words “Sonny Boy” to the command to cum seems more like a turn-off than a turn-on.
